What's New in Zenpa
This release focuses on three things: a rebuilt Zenpa Vault, improved Actions and Chat, and Deep search in Ask for researching the public web. Your memories and AI still run private and local on your Mac.
Zenpa Vault
We rebuilt the knowledge browser as Zenpa Vault: a full UX overhaul focused on one job, helping you find the memory you need, fast. Less digging, clearer navigation, and a layout built for scanning your work history at a glance.
- Filters that stick: search, narrow by date, source, and person. Your choices stay put as you browse, so you can zero in without starting over.
- Grouped threads: related messages roll up so long email chains and Slack threads read as one story, not a wall of fragments.

Actions and Chat, improved
Actions and Chat work better together: Zenpa pulls in the right people and threads, drafts in your voice, and prefills Slack replies where they belong.
- Drafts that sound like you: Zenpa uses your past messages and tone when it writes Slack updates and email replies.
- Slack drafts, ready to send: Zenpa picks the channel and thread from the conversation you started from, so you are not filling those fields by hand.
- Better people and thread recall: Actions finds the right colleague and the right thread before it drafts.
- Add context as you go: drop in a memory or an earlier draft and Zenpa updates what it creates next.
- Smoother Chat: refine tone, length, and next steps in Chat without starting over.
Tip: Share a client email, ask for a Slack update and a reply, and refine both in the same thread.
Deep search
Turn on Deep search from the Ask menu when you need answers from the public web, not just your memories. Zenpa plans several searches, reads the best pages, and returns a cited report.
- Toggle in Ask: enable Deep search before you send your question.
- Multi step research: sub queries, web search, and page reading run automatically until Zenpa has enough to answer.
- Cited report: the final answer links back to the sources Zenpa used.
- Live progress: see which queries and pages are being explored while research runs.
Tip: Use Deep search for market research, competitor pages, or anything current that is not in your connectors yet.
