The Zenpa Manifesto

Data sovereignty is not negotiable

We believe your thoughts, ideas, and work belong to you, not to tech giants, not to cloud providers, not to anyone else. Data sovereignty isn't a feature we offer; it's the foundation upon which Zenpa is built.

Every document you write, every meeting you attend, every brilliant idea you capture, these are extensions of your mind. They deserve the same protection as your most private thoughts.

AI is ready to come home

Sending your data to distant servers should be a choice, not the default. Modern devices are powerful enough to run sophisticated AI models locally. The technology exists. The privacy benefits are undeniable. The time is now.

Why should your personal assistant live in someone else's computer? Why should your second brain be scattered across corporate data centers? AI belongs where you are, on your device, under your control.

We are not against the cloud

We use cloud AI every day, and we are glad it exists. Frontier models running in data centers have changed what software can do.

It is a simpler observation: for a huge share of everyday work, summarizing a thread, recalling a decision, finding a file, preparing a meeting, you do not need a data center. Your own device is enough. What was missing was software built to prove it.

That is Zenpa's mission: to give the world a real alternative. Not local versus cloud as ideology, but local as a genuine choice, private by default, with the cloud as an option you control rather than a requirement you inherit.

Privacy is our foundation, not our feature

Other companies bolt privacy onto their products as an afterthought. We started with privacy and built everything else around it. Local processing isn't just how we differentiate, it's how we ensure your data never leaves your control.

The future is local

We envision a future where your digital tools serve you, not surveillance capitalism. Where AI makes you more capable without making you more vulnerable. Where your second brain enhances your first brain without exposing it to the world.

This isn't just about Zenpa. This is about reclaiming digital autonomy. It's about proving that powerful, intelligent software can exist without compromising your fundamental right to privacy.

Your mind deserves a second brain you can trust.
